Game Development Portfolio
This page is my game development portfolio. I have held various roles across my past projects including sound designer, game designer, co-producer, and a handful of others. I am currently the lead sound designer at Square Up Games LLC where I am in charge of everything audio from design to implementation. I record my own sound effects, write my own music, and edit everything using Logic Pro and Pro Tools. I am also a member of the Senior QA team at TwinRayj Studios. Feel free to browse this page which features my past work and explanations of my roles for each project.
Embers of Olympus
This is the latest demo of the game I am developing on my own in my spare time outside of my current position. While everything in the video is subject to change, it showcases the core mechanics of the game and includes the finished backtrack and many of the sound effects I have already implemented.
Bandit on'a Bridge
This hand-drawn, sidescrolling puzzle game was released in mid-2020. As the lead sound designer, I recorded, mixed, and composed all music and sound effects. The background track was composed at a piano and formatted in MuseScore. I took that midi file and imported it into Logic Pro where I arranged four different instrumentations to fit different sections of the game. All sound effects were recorded by myself on a Zoom hand recorder and edited in ProTools.
Thunder Jumper
Thunder Jumper is a vertical platformer released in 2019. I held various roles on the development team, including lead sound designer, lead game designer, co-producer, level designer, and tile artist. The music heard in this demo was played by me on traditional African drums such as djembes and various dunduns. I mixed the parts together and edited all sound effects in ProTools.
1-800-Dungeon
Created in 2017, 1-800-Dungeon is a simple tower defense game that takes place in a medieval castle. Being my first project as a sound designer, I created the backtrack using various Garage Band loops. Some sound effects were recorded by myself while others were free-use assets that I downloaded online.
Wonderverse
Wonderverse is a tabletop game for 4-6 players. The game involves creating planets and telling their stories as if you are discovering them and learning about their histories. I created this game on my own and released it in 2019.
Prepping in the Kitchen
Prepping in the Kitchen was a fun, solo project meant to add some play to the otherwise uneventful meal planning activity. It also serves as a learning experience for the players as they reflect on their food choices throughout the week.
