Thumbnail image featuring the title "Wonderverse" in all caps, black letters in the center of the screen. Behind the title is a circle gradient fading from purple to black from the center to the edge. There are round flares extending from the center of the screen, behind the title. Finally, the background is semi-transparent, allowing white dots (stars) to shine through, giving the illusion of a night sky.

What is it?

Wonderverse is a tabletop experience where you and your friends have a chance to create your own universe. You'll draw planets, describe their inhabitants, and even create pieces of their history. You can check out some of the...odd planets my friends have made on the right. I plan on making a companion app for this game so it isn't so printer-heavy, but that project is a ways away. Just like your far-away universe!

A picture of a dry erase graph board. On the board are colorful shapes. On the left is a blue oval with a small, pink, broccoli-shaped stick figure. Above the oval is a purple, cell-type shape with a cell wall, a nucleus, and random shapes. To the right of the cell is a green donut with a crescent moon drawn in the middle. To the bottom right of that, directly across from the blue oval, is a blue rectangle with a teethy smile, large glasses, and lines to give the illusion of hair. To the bottom left of that rectangel is an orange trapezoid with a drawing of something that looks like the head of the splattoon girl. There are arrows drawn between the various large shapes, which are actually planets created by the players.

Who made it?

This was a project I put together for an independent study. I was tasked with creating a game that invokes a specific feeling or emotion, and the feeling I went for was "wonder." Well, nothing makes me wonder what's out there more than space. The possibilities are endless, and that is the experience I wanted to give to the people who play this game.
